Bridges to Business
Bridges to Business (B2B) is a leadership and skill development program that helps students connect their Soka Education to meaningful business, entrepreneurship, and value-creation opportunities through multiple campus initiatives. I spent my spring break networking, meeting entrepreneurs, and visiting innovative companies such as Snapchat, LA Weekly, and Taco Bell. This experience allowed me to expand my skills, awareness, and contacts in the business community.
As part of the program, I participated in the Impactathon, an event that gave me the opportunity to develop an idea for a social enterprise and present the pitch to potential investors. My teammates and I received the award for "most fundable project." The group of juries was composed of business leaders and venture partners from Orange County.
I also had the opportunity to introduce Neetal Parekh, founder of the Impactathon, at the SEED Business Symposium. The event featured high-level leaders and speakers from innovative companies around the country. Companies in attendance were but are not limited to Vans, Factory O_S Caulipower, Innov8social, and Anonymous Philanthropy
