Soka's De Groot Named Male Scholar Athlete of the YearYauri De Groot of Soka University of America has been selected as the recipient of the Dr. Jim Davies Award as the 2019-20 Male Scholar Athlete of the Year in the California Pacific Conference. The annual honor, voted on by the conference athletic directors, is awarded to the student-athlete who best embodies the Champions of Character in competition, in the classroom, and in the community. De Groot was selected from an outstanding field of qualified and committed student-athletes from all the Cal Pac institutions.
